A presentare i candidati ai premi c’erano vari protagonisti della tv americana, come Kris Allen (“American Idol”), Cat Deeley (“So You Think You Can Dance”), Johnny Galecki (“The Big Bang Theory”), Jeff Probst (“Survivor”) e Sofia Vergara (“Modern Family”).
Il meccanismo di questi premi prevede la votazione da parte del pubblico -fin dalla scelta delle nomination, che hanno registrato ben 16 milioni di voti-, degli show che più ha amato nella scorsa stagione tv attraverso il sito internet ufficiale della manifestazione (ma per alcune categorie c’è anche la possiblità di votare attravero i dispotivi mobili). La premiazione avverrà a Los Angeles il 6 gennaio, e sarà condotta per la terza volta conecutiva da Queen Latifah.
Ora non resta che decretare i vincitori: le votazioni verranno chiuse l’otto dicembre, tranne che per le categorie “Miglior Drama” e “Miglior Comedy”, che rimarranno aperte fino a poco prima l’inizio dello show di premiazione. Dopo il salto tutte le nomination per le categorie televisive, che oltre a conoscenze già note, accolgono anche novità come “Modern Family”, “The Good Wife”, “The Vampire Diaries” e “V” che, nonostante sia partito da solo una settimana, rientra già tra i preferiti dei telespettatori.
